Dolce and Gabbana 2007 AD

I just came across this commercial that i loved when i first saw it. I have this special appreciation for commercials/print ads and music videos. I used to sit in front of the tv watching MTV (when it still played music videos) and record my favorite music videos. Among my favorites were George Michael- Freedom
Michael Jackson- Dirty Diana
Methodman- Ex girlfriend etc etc...

face-time: Facebook vs Google vs Myspace

I just read this cool article that discusses how Facebook is gaining ground on Google and has long surpassed Myspace in terms of user time spent on each website. This techcrunch article shows the total minutes spent on each of the three web 2.0 giants and how dramatically facebook gained momentum in the past year. I've always liked facebook so i'm glad its become the most common medium for social networking on the internet. As the article states:

"It (Facebook) now has more than 140 million active users, 70 percent of whom are outside the U.S. Only half are in college, and the fastest-growing demographic is 25 years and older. There are now 52,000 apps on Facebook, created by 660,000 developers. That’s a serious platform."

Google's top execs leaving...

Its nice to see people who turn themselves into in "high-demand" individuals. i saw this first when i participated in the UCLA Consulting Case Competition and met one of the jurers from McKinsey & Co. We were practically begging for a job while he had the luxury to pick and choose from tons and tons of offers from all kinds of companies.

This must be happening to all of the Google execs because they keep leaving for other companies. Take Brian O’Shaughnessy who just left Google to work at the world-famous SKYPE. My dad knew about skype years ago and we used it frequently to call family in europa. Skype is actually the only phone my dad uses. Earlier in the year Elliot Schrage the VP of Global Communications and Public Affairs at Google left for facebook. Good for them! I'm jealous!!!

LOOVE HER

I loved her in 25th hour...Actually I love that movie, all its concepts/lessons and of course the directing of Spike Lee. From the cinematography to music selection to cast, the film is defnilty among my favorites. Barry Pepper's charater of a devious Wall Street trader along with his "99th Percentile" analogy is unlikely to be forgotten.

DO NOT READ

This blog is only for me to keep track of all the things i come accross during my hard working long days. I like to bookmark and "collect" what i find interesting before it gets lost in the endlessness of the internet. I also learned that the most effective way for me to absorb what i read/hear and see is to recite it in some shape or form. Whether its me having a conversation/debate or for me to repeat buzzwords in my head, I have to find ways to hold on to this staggering information. This is the purpose of this blog....
